Little Steps
Designed to introduce our 2-year-old students to dance concepts, pre-tap and pre-ballet skills are taught by a teacher and an assistant. Classes are limited to a maximum of 8 students.
Pre-Dance
Pre-Dance introduces tap and ballet techniques and terminology to our 3- to 5-year-old students. Students can build discipline and confidence in a class guided by a teacher and an assistant.
Ballet
The foundation of all forms of dance, ballet is critical for all serious dancers. Strongly encouraged at a young age, ballet helps build good habits while protecting muscles and bones.
Jazz
Jazz is characterized by syncopated rhythms, ensemble playing, and improvisation. It is frequently influenced by other dance styles such as Acro, Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Hip-Hop.
Acro
Acro combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. It is an especially challenging dance style for dancers, as it requires them to be trained in both dance and acrobatic skills.
Lyrical
Lyrical dance is performed to music with lyrics to inspire movements that express strong emotions. It is created from the fusion of ballet techniques with jazz and contemporary dance techniques.
Latin
Latin dance consists of a variety of dances originating in Latin America, Puerto Rico and Cuba. Examples include the Cha-cha-cha, Rumba, Samba, Salsa, Mambo, Merengue, Bachata, and Bolero.
Hip-Hop
Hip-Hop is a mix of today’s high-energy street dancing. It is designed to teach coordination, strength, and endurance. It is often improvised and Hip-Hop dancers frequently engage in hip-hop battles.
Contemporary
Contemporary dance developed during the mid-20th century, becoming one of the dominant genres for dancers today. It combines the controlled legwork of ballet with modern dance’s emphasis on the torso.
