Compete with ELITE
The Elite Company is a nationally celebrated competition team, winning National Championships every year since Elite Arts Academy first opened its doors in 2007.
The audition-based dance team includes mandatory training and professionally choreographed dance routines. Selected dancers are assigned a group based on age and skill level and compete in a variety of styles such as Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical and Musical Theater. Based in Miami, Florida, Elite has competed all across the United States including Atlantic City, San Antonio and throughout the state of Florida.
Audition Process
Auditions are hosted in May. Exact dates will be announced closer to audition time in the studio and on our Instagram account. To audition, dancers must register in advance, pay the audition fee and submit a headshot. On audition day, dancers should wear all black and hair should be fixed in a neat bun.
Training
Training as part of the Elite Company includes a two-week intensive program at the beginning of the season and mandatory, advanced weekly classes in ballet, technique, conditioning and acrobatics throughout the season. Dancers also participate in weekly rehearsal classes to prepare for competitions and recitals.
Competition Season
Elite competes in several regional competitions between January and June. The team also competes in one mandatory Nationals competition, which may be in Florida or another state depending on the year. Dates are announced well in advance to give families time to plan for an exciting, award-winning season.
